 * Hi people,
 * I am quite new to managing my own website and an SQL database, and my question
   is pretty simple but I’m not sure where else to look for the answer.
 * When I uploaded wordpress using an FTP, I put the files in the public_html folder.
   When I login to MySQL, the database which contains the tables I am manipulating
   also contains wp tables – wp_comments, wp_links, etc.
 * Consequently, when I look at the ABASE settings, it ‘connects’ to the one database
   that I have.
 * Next to this it says: “leave blank for WordPress database”
 * But the changes I want to use ABASE to make are not to do with the wordpress
   tables, they’re to do with the other tables.
 * In short, have I put wordpress in the wrong place? If I try and manipulate data
   in the database tables that I have made, will they connect?
 * Just trying to anticipate the problem 🙂
 * Regards
    Janine
