 * Hi,
 * I know this has been asked before, but I haven’t managed to find an answer that
   works.
 * I get the error message below under the advanced settings:
 * The plugin detected a bare directory index in your cache directory, which would
   let visitors see your cache files directly and might expose private posts. index.
   html files have been added in key directories, but unless directory indexes are
   disabled, it is probably better to store the cache files outside of the web root
   of /home/r32337/public_html/
 * The hosting provider haven’t been much help with trying to work out what’s going
   on.
 * I’ve added Options All – Indexes in the .htaccess of public_html which is the
   only fix I’ve managed to find. Done a hard refresh and the error message is still
   there.
 * There was another .htaccess in the cache folder, but this didn’t seem to work
   either.
 * What am I doing wrong and how can I check if the issue is still there?
 * Thanks

 * You could change the cache location on the advanced settings page. Put it somewhere
   that isn’t directly viewable by the web server.
 * But if you have directory indexes on, .htaccess rules don’t work and your host
   won’t help you turn it off that’s not a great sign. 🙁

 * Thanks Donncha. What sort of location wouldn’t be visible? Outside of public_html?(
   This is new to me!)
 * And yes, not impressed with the response from the host!

 * Maybe make a “cache” directory in your home directory. The path will probably
   be something like /home/username/cache/ then. I think you’ll only be able to
   use “simple” caching mode but that’s just as fast as the expert mode and easier
   to set up.
