Hello, I’ve been running Senses Lite on this website: http://www.ritesmusic.org for more than a year. I have just changed the front page banner image and it is now no longer running to both ends of the browser window as it had with the old image. The files are both 2560 pixels wide. I haven’t been able to figure out how to fix this. Any advice?

  • I haven’t made any changes to my banner image and in the last week it has also stopped filling the width of my browser window. I now have grey space at each end of my banner. My banner is the recommended 2560×625 pixels. http://ajblythe.com

I’ve tried removing and re-uploading. I also can’t work out how to fix this. Please help.

    Hi ajblythe,

Could you try disabling Jetpack / Settings / Appearance / Photon option?
It seems that it’s forcing the image to resize to a smaller size that doesn’t cover the screen full width.

let me know how it goes.

    regards
    Imre

    Hi Imre

Thank you so much for your quick response. I’ve tried what you said and made sure both of the following are disabled:
jetpack / dashboard / performance / image performance (photon)
jetpack / settings / writing / media / speedup images and photos

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have worked.

When I view my home page from within wordpress the banner fills the width of my screen, however, when I log out of wordpress and view the page as visitors to the site would see it, I still have the smaller sized banner.

    Have I missed something?

Thank you for your assistance with this,
    AJ

can you try to reupload the image and link it in the banner once more with Photon now disabled?

Brilliant – it works now! Thanks so much for your help, Imre, appreciate it =)

    Cheers
