Hi @richardzed,
The following message appears in the JavaScript console when visiting your site:
Fallback default css file used. Please re-save banner settings, or check file writing permissions in uploads directory
As I expect that you had already attempted to re-save your banner settings, could you verify that the permissions of your /uploads/
directory have been set to 755, as detailed in this article? https://complianz.io/folder-permissions/
Kind regards,
Jarno
Hello, I have the same problem,
my cookie banner is in the centre (instead of bottom right),
I also have the same warning in the console:
“Fallback default css file used. Please re-save banner settings, or check file writing permissions in uploads directory”
although my /uploads/ directory permissions are 755 and resaving cookie banner settings doesn’t help.
You can see it here: https://casinovmobilu.cz/
Please let me know how to solve this issue. Many thanks.
Best,
Jiri.
Hi @cottage1260 If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the WordPress Forum Rules , please post your own topic. A lot more people will see your post, the original Topic starter will not get notifications, and that way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc.
