Banner ad slider disappeared after theme upgrade

    Hi again Josh,
    Our Magazine Premium theme has been completely rewritten, and again, my Meteor slider in the banner area has disappeared. I asked the developer for assistance, but he just told me that the slider widget is written into the code. There’s no place to add the shortcode in the theme lightbox editor and I couldn’t find the code he gave me in the banner.php, but in any case am not conversant enough with WP code to edit it. Maybe it’s in a different php file?
    This is the code he gave me:

    add_filter( ‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’ );

    Any help much appreciated.

    I think the theme developer is telling you how to use the slideshow shortcode in a text widget, but Meteor Slides has a slideshow widget, so you don’t have to do that.

    It looks to me like this theme has a header widget area, look where the search box is in this demo: http://demos.bavotasan.com/magazine-premium/

    You should be able to add the slideshow widget to the header widgets to get the slideshow in that spot.
