# Banned users registering?

 * Is it possible to restrict registration using a list of blacklisted email addresses,
   or IPs?
 * I have an install of WP that is open for registration, but someone I have recently
   banned keeps coming in through various proxies and re-registering. He’s used 
   the same email address, so banning his email would make this a lot simpler.
 * Is it possible to deny registration to a banned address via a blacklist? Or is
   there a plug that already does this?

 * I’ll just give out an auth code to specific users, and clean out the rest once
   a week or so. 🙂

 * I ran into a similar situation, and was really shocked that there seems to be
   no simple way within the stock WordPress to block registration via IP list or
   email address. It seems there’s a tremendous amount of energy expended on blog
   comment spam robots (understandably), but no thought to the idiot user who just
   posts nonsense.
 * Is there anywhere a plugin to allow for blocking registration by email address
   or IP address range? I don’t want to firewall a Comcast range in iptables, and
   I don’t care if this particular moron reads the blog, but I’m getting reeally
   weary of deleting his nonsensical posts…
