    Hi Ambrosite,

Thank you for advising us but yeah we were aware of this.

We contacted WP Engine about this already and they said “we noticed an excessive amount of MYSQL queries which either caused site slowness and/or mysql stability issues” hence why the plugin was blacklisted.

We explained to them that when we launched the plugin we had some problems but since then we have even rewritten the plugin and all such issues were solved (as confirmed in this forum as well), but to no avail.

It is not up to us to “review” hosting providers but from our own experience WP Engine support were very uncooperative with us, not to mention that they excessively used canned responses, hence it was impossible for us to go through all the bureaucratic steps and be able to talk to the people who take care of such list.

We are still in touch with them and still trying to work out this issue with them but so far we were unable to. Should you or anyone have a contact at WP Engine we would really appreciate if you can send over the contact details.

Thanks for the reply. We are paying for a dedicated server, so we should be able to get some kind of response from them. I’ll tell them what you said and let you know.

Thanks for that 🙂 They know exactly what I said since I am in touch with their support.

Feel free to drop me an email should you have something interesting for me (robert@wpwhitesecurity.com).

    Looking forward.

    This was their reply:

“If they have already been working with our Tech Ops team, it would be best to let them continue through that route. It would not be wise to continue adding contacts for them to speak with as all requests of this nature would go to our Tech Ops team anyway.

“Realistically, we could determine that the plugin is fine to use again at a later point. But at this current point in time, Tech Ops has already blacklisted the plugin. We are not able to do anything about this for you.”

Thanks for trying Abrosite 🙂 We will definitely keep on trying to get through their bureaucratic support and hopefully get in touch with the right people.

Will contact them as well – really annoying they are blocking this..

    Hi Raisonon,

Thanks a lot for your support, that definitely should help because sometimes it feels like we are up against a brick wall, not to mention that we are getting unfair treatment when compared to other similar plugins, but that’s another story.

Unfortunately I just had a reply from them saying they will not allow it and I should try Steam instead… Similar response to what you have posted.

“that with the queries it runs as well as how easy it is to change the amount of information stored, it can compromise the integrity of the sever”

Yeah expected response but it does not compromise the integrity of the servers. The problem I have with them is that they are not even interested in reviewing the plugin in the first place. They just black listed it and are happy it is this way.

I’ve been dealing with their team well over a month yet we didn’t get anywhere yet.

    Hi Raisonon and all,

Very good news. WP Security Audit Log will be taken off the banned list. Here is their actual response:

Good news! After looking at the plugin, I’m going to do what I can to get it back off the disallowed plugins list. The latest version performs quite admirably in the stress tests I put it through.

Due to the way our deployment schedules work, it may take up to a week and a half before the blacklisting has been lifted. Once it does, I’ll be sure our disallowed plugins page reflects the changes.

    Great work!
