• All the info on their website indicates that the service is free for 1 domain with up to 50 pages. But after installing the plugin and signing up for the free plan you get a message to say it is only free up to 1000 sessions, which is way too limited. This feels very sneaky and scammy and leaves a bad taste. I’m happy to pay for services, but not to a company that uses tactics like this.

    Hi @danielm2005
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and truly appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

Cookiebot has recently rebranded and is now part of the Usercentrics product portfolio — bringing a fresh look while maintaining the same great features.
However, they remain two separate products, which can understandably cause some confusion.

To explain: Cookiebot CMP follows a page-based pricing model. Usercentrics CMP uses a session-based pricing model (you can learn more about how sessions are defined here).

It sounds like you may have signed up for a Usercentrics CMP account rather than Cookiebot CMP, which is why you encountered session-based limits instead of page-based ones.

We’d be happy to look into your specific account details and ensure you’re set up with the right plan for your needs. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team here, and we’ll gladly assist you. We value your trust and want to make sure you have the best possible experience with our services.
