• I would be careful about giving Malcare / Blogvault your money.

A few years back they sold a “lifetime” license for Malcare via Appsumo, but they neglected to tell us that they were secretly limiting the number of sites you can add to and remove from your Malcare account. The only way you learn about the limit is when you encounter it when trying to add a site to your account.

And the worst part is that the limit is for a he subscription period. This isn’t too bad when you have an annual subscription, but if you have a lifetime license the period is “forever”, which means you can only use the Malcare license so many times before you are blocked from ever adding another site.

Oh, and you shouldn’t beleive their claims about resetting the limit; I was told by email that they are not going to do that again.

    Hey @usersixsixsix,

    Thank you for your reply.

We allow some way for our customers to remove a website and add another website because we understand that sometimes another website is more important. But if we do not limit this, it can be abused. Therefore, we’ve added limits.

You’re on a 5-website AppSumo plan & while there should be no limit since you’re on a lifetime plan, the limits were placed globally across all our plans to avoid such situations.

Our team has discussed this internally, and we did not consider AppSumo lifetime customers in these limits, which has caused all the confusion you’re facing. We’ve removed the limits on AppSumo lifetime users, and this should never be an issue for you in the future.

If you have any feedback on this, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll be happy to address it.
