    This plug in advertises specifically…
    “The FREE Slide Anything WordPress plugin allows you to create a carousel or slider where the content for each slide can be anything you want, including images, text, HTML, and even WordPress shortcodes.”

    Yet when you spend the time to download, install, and configure the thing, you quickly discover that you have to upgrade to paid installation to make it do MOST of those things.

    If I wanted to pay for the functionality, I would have kept the slider I had, upgraded it, and saved myself the hour of wasted time searching for, installing, configuring, and learning that this thing is a scam. Don’t waste your time unless you just want an image slideshow and there are a ton of plug-ins that do that more easily than this mess.

    Yes, the new PRO Version adds popup support – that’s it.

    The FREE Version, which has been around for 18 months or so allows you create carousels containing slides with image, text, HTML and shortcode content. It has now been used on thousands of sites exactly for this purpose, and the feedback I have received for this plugin has generally been very favourable because it caters for this flexibility. I myself wanted a carousel/slider plugin that allowed me to flexibly create slides containing shortcode/HTML content, that is why I created this plugin in the first place.

    The popups functionality is a new addon, which I thought would go nicely with the existing carousel functionality.
