I wanted to try putting text on my banner image: http://health-boundaries.com/
My original tests were on my home page because I thought it would work, but many tests and tries later, with no success, I’m baffled.
My original page has an image in the banner area and in the text area of the page.
I tried putting an image of the same size as that in the text area, complete with “Health Boundaries” written on it, and it appeared in about the size of a thumbnail. Whereas I had matched the size of the image to that already there: 941×279
So I went back to GIMP and put the text on a full size image, 2200 something. Same size showed up when I updated and viewed: Thumbnail.
So I thought maybe it was because the page was the first one I did and it shows as both a post and as a page. I thought making a Page and putting the image in might work: http://health-boundaries.com/new-test-for-text-size-responsive/
Nope, same thumbnail.
How can I get a really large image into the page? So I can text how text works when the screen changes sizes… ????
