    Plenty of options

The only negative is that export/import is screwy. It’s not all bad but KB articles will not get assigned to the correct KB or Section. Sections get turned into KBs also.

The articles are the bulk of the work though so when you import, you have those but will need to recreate KBs and Sections and manually assign each article, one at a time, to your new KBs/Sections.

Bulk Edit options on the All Articles admin page would help immensely with this but are not available.

Giving this a 5 star rating regardless because it’s the only kb plugin that is nice looking, fully featured and doesn’t limit you to 1 or a few KBs.

If the import/export or bulk edit options are added but only for Premium, this rating will be lowered because I consider those to be default WordPress features that should work even for custom post/taxonomy types.

If WordPress has a basic functionality that’s been around forever, you build for it.

    Hi @jhnpldng,

    Thanks for your review!
The issue with the import/export is caused by WordPress export which ignores parent taxonomy terms when a single custom post type is exported.
BasePress KBs are parent terms for sections so due to the shortcoming of WordPress export the hierarchy breaks when exported.
That said I must agree with you that this is an important feature so a dedicated import/export is already in development. When ready it will released as a free add-on on wordpress.org.

    Thanks again!

Hi – has there been an update or a resolution for this?

    Hi @chamoymary,

an extension for import/export is still in development.
If you want to try a beta version please open a support ticket from the plugin’s menu and I can send you a copy and the details on how to use it.

    Thanks
