From the best to bad plug-in, why add yourself to my admin main menu? This is a set one and forget plug-in, please let it go back under the settings tab where it belongs..?

  • I was just getting ready to open the same topic. My favorite part of this plugin was that it was simple. Congrats on the big update. But I don’t need to see him all the time. Once set correctly it’s ok. Just sit quietly under the Settings tab. Please don’t underestimate what we said.

totally agree – got a few other issues too (see separate ticket)

    Hi @phj123 @farnely & @halilesen

Thank you all for sharing your honest feedback and we apologize for the inconvenience.

After considering all of the recent feedback we’ve received, we have begun testing an adjustment that should resolve this specific pain point going forward.

We do not currently have a specific date/time in mind, but this adjustment will take place in the next update that we are currently working on.

@farnely We’ll also address your specific questions in your thread shortly.

    Hi @phj123 @halilesen and @halilesen,

we just released a new update (version 2.0.1), which includes a new setting in the Easy WP SMTP > Settings > Misc (tab), called Compact Mode. Please update to this latest version and enable that setting. It will remove the top level WP Admin menu entry for Easy WP SMTP and move it back to the WP Admin Settings submenu (where it was before the update).

Please let us know if that resolves your issue with top level menu items.

    Have a nice day!

Hi Gregor, yes this is ok for me not ideal though as I now have to manually do this for very site, imo it should be the other way around.. On installation put it under settings and with and if someone wishes the expand toggle can bring it to their main admin panel..

    Hi @phj123,

we understand and appreciate your opinion.

Our intention is for new users to easily discover our plugin after installation and allow them to decide if they want to hide it after the configuration is done.

Thank you and have a nice day!
