The latest update totally killed the plugin. I cannot active because of the error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/…/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 11

Sorry, actually you need to upgrade PHP version. However if that is not possible you can get back to previous version from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip
