Hello,
our product counts connected with categories have out of stock items included. so for example, in a category with 30 total items, but only 20 in stock, the count next to the category says there are 30.
I see that your store is set to hide out of stock items from the catalog, and that you’ve cleared transients and cache. If the category product count is still wrong, then I believe the issue is caused by a conflict with your theme or plugin. The best way to determine this is to:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
If the product count shows the right number after that, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
here is a screenshot with all plugins off using storefront theme. same bad math.

Hello @emilysparkle ,
I am sorry to hear that this did not solve the problem.
I just checked in a fresh WooCommerce installation and when the “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” setting is enabled the archive does not show the out-of-stock item and the product count is also correct.
Can you please share the exact URL of the category which has the issue?
Thank you 🙂
