Bad Link To abcd

    Hello all,

    I made a host transfer from one domain to another and I made sure to update the htaacess to redirect the traffic from the old host to the new host. I’ve also removed search results from Google by using Webmaster Tools.

    However, I keep getting bombarded with e-mails titled indicating a user is going to a page that doesn’t exist. The top-level domain is right but for some reason this user keeps going to wwww.purelyoriental.com/category/topictitle-postID

    Back in my old host, I’ve made the permastructure to be like that but changed it since to reflect the same thing but without the “-postID”.

    The IP of interest is 50.31.96.8 which my e-mails indicated that it was locked for going looking at too many non-existant pages. I believe it might be a search bot but I don’t know what to do.

    I don’t even know how they are getting that post IDs…

    I assume it’s a bot. Even the name of that organization is EstiBot.com Inc.

    If I were you, I would block that IP to end the story.

    I forgot. I have blocked the IP (50.31.96.8) with Better WP Security (plugin) but I’m still getting e-mails.

    I have no idea what to do. I wish I could figure out the user’s IP.

    To moderator: I don’t understand how that would help? I pay for support?
