    This is just so bad in so many ways. If this really get i core in said time frame it is gonna kill WordPress.

    So many clicks for nothing.

    Meta boxes anyone?

    Metaboxes are now supported and being iterated on, you will be pleased to hear. I think it’s important to note that nothing is being removed from the current functionality of WordPress. It’s about making sure the editing experience is better. There is also a lot of usability testing going to happen and that will lead to iteration.

    Ultimately there will be an option to turn off Gutenberg, even when it’s in core.

    Metaboxes in iframes, not a solution, more like a disillusion.
