    Hi MailPoet-Team!

I found an irritating error text, which is given, when the required GDPR-checkbox hasn’t been checked.

The text is “Bitte w√§hle mindestens eine Option aus” (which means “Please chose at least one option”). Only it is a checkbox, there are no options – so users are irritated.

I would have altered the translation to have a fast solution, but I can’t find the german po(t) file.

    So please:
    – can I get the mailpoet-de_DE.po file?

Perhaps you would like to consider changing the original error message for checkboxes too, als the english message is missleading too. And what about using the “required” tag as well on requiered fields, so that the browser check for required fields ist triggered? People get mor and more used to the browser’s error check messages, so the usability of the forms would be enhanced.

    Best regards

    Hi Nici,

MailPoet includes a .pot file, open that up using POedit and then you’ll be able to create the required language files.

Any problems or questions, please let us know and we’d be happy to help.

If you want us to email you the mailpoet-de_DE.po file, please contact us here: https://www.mailpoet.com/support/wordpress-forums

    Thank you!

    Thank you for your suggestion.

Only the pot-File is in English. I would have to do the complete translation – again. Because there already _IS_ a german translation and there is a german .mo-file, named mailpoet-de_DE.mo

Only this error notice in this translation is missleading, so I would like to change this one missleading translation phrase. To do a total translation just to change this one error in the existing translation seems a bit of an overkill.

If you just could tell me where to find the referring .po(t)-file to the existing german translation would be really fine for me. Thank you very much.

    Best regards
