bad file descriptor no comments

  • when trying to change the CHMOD properties on my .htaccess, my ftp program gives me this:

550 Could not change perms on .htaccess: Bad file descriptor

    what gives?

also, what permissions should i give so comments would work? people can’t comment on my posts.

  • CHMOD 644 should work on both.
Delete your .htaccess file and let WP generate another one.
Are your comments setup correctly in admin?
What I mean is can anyone comment and you have it set to registered users only can comment?
