  • *sigh*
    <embarrassed>I got so excited about replacing b2 with WordPress, that I hurried too much and ran wp-install.php before I ran b2-2-wp.php. Now I can’t log in as admin to my (otherwise running nicely) blog.</embarrassed>
    Any way I can recover the necessary password? Or am I going to have to do a full re-install (versus upgrade) here?

  • try going into your mysql database and look at the data in the users table.

    Okay, the password in the database is still the same – but when I try to login, it just keeps taking me back to the login page. My b2/wp install is in the same directory as my html files; I’m running the blog as commentary.php. The b2config.php looks like:
    $siteurl = ‘’;
    $blogfilename = ‘Commentary.php’;
    $blogname = “Community Forum”;
    $blogdescription = “Anything and everything involving government.”;
    and as I mentioned, it comes up and displays just fine; why I can’t log in baffles me.

    The siteurl value is now in the database in the options/settings table, you may need to use phpMyAdmin or similar to set it the correct URL.
