    Yes, but you would have to update users manually.

    You could have them create a free account at level 0, and then upgrade them when you receive the money.

    You could also offer a trial period with the check payment so they could begin using the site while the check cleared. Your choice.

    Thanks guys for the fast responses and great ideas. I know updating users manually will become a problem after a while, because it’s… manual :-), but client is always right, as we all know.

    The second idea is also great, I will definitely try out both and see what works best.
