  • Over the weekend Dropbox was off and on down for a while. So naturally the backup to dropbox on my sites failed. One thing to note though is that on sites running backwpup 3.1.x I ran into more trouble than on sites running backwpup 3.0.13

Perhaps this has to do with the quota check improvement I noticed in the changelog: “Dropped quota check for Dropbox. Will cancel upload only when Dropbox API sends error 507.”

On 2 or 3 sites running 3.1.x the backwpup log file grew very large up to lots of megabytes. So that I ran out of disk space on those accounts. It took me a while to figure this one out.

So my suggestion is to put back in some sort of upload cancellation even if Dropbox doesn’s send a 507 error. To prevent the log file from growing if Dropbox is down or otherwise not responding as it should.

    thanks for a great plugin!
