    Hi leteddybear,

can you send me your logfile at r _dot_ windisch :at:

Hi Robert, my logfile is sent to you.

I think I too have an issue.
I had stuck at 3.0.7 because of the error in 3.0.8 regarding the memcache error raised when checking for the folder to be writeable (line 251 onwards)
I saw this was fixed in 3.0.9 but this has been superseded by 3.0.10 before I have tested it.
Using 3.0.10 I get every backup hang at the archive stage. I’ve tried switching between Zip asnd TarGz but no difference.
Also Abort! doesn’t seem to have any effect.

Output below, with *** for some details.

[INFO] BackWPup version 3.0.10; WordPress version 3.5.1; A project of Inpsyde GmbH developed by Daniel Hüsken

@atomict You can try setting up a job for a database backup only and see if it executes. Would it be ok to post your (anonymized) job settings? You can export the via Jobs screen. Hover over a job name and click Export when the navigational line appears.

Also, please post your results in a new forum topic! It is very hard to keep track when people post their questions into an existing topic that might or might not be related. (This doesn’t go for you only, of course, I’m just randomly trying promote the need.)

I’ve started a new thread as requested:

That contains the new info 🙂

    @atomict Thanks. 😉

Is it possible that the problem comes from my provider (planethoster) ? I guess not because it used to work perfectly well before release 3.0.9…

A recent message on site says that due to massive brute-force attacks against WordPress blogs, planethoster improved security upon “wp-login.php”.
Since around 1 week, i experience problems with missed scheduled posts and backup.
Do you think that problem with BackWPup may come from that ?
    Thanks a lot.

I have been a fan of this plugin since a long time and keep on trying the 3.x versions.
After several attempts I keep on downgrading to 2.1.x. and scratching my head about what has happened. A perfect plugin has been upgraded to constant trouble.
Will the developers offer a “classic version” any time soon?
