I’ve seen this mentioned in another thread with no resolution. I’m running into an issue where including the ‘uploads’ folder is the difference between success and failure for a full backup (SQL, files, plugins list).

Without the uploads folder included in the backup, it works fine. With the uploads folder included, even with all subfolders excluded, or even if the uploads folder is effectively empty, the backup fails without a warning or error. It just terminates after the message “Trying to make a list of folder to back up” and shows a runtime of 0 seconds.

Is there anything I can try to get this working again? I realize without an error being thrown it’s not easy to discern what’s going on.

    Hi @rbrunskill
I’m really sorry about the delayed response 🙁
Please help me troubleshooting by doing the following:
    – Enable debug log: (BackWPUp -> Settings -> Logs -> Logging Level -> Debug(not translated)
    – go to BackWPup > Settings > Jobs, try to set Maximum Script Execution Time setting to about 25 seconds
    – Run the job
    – If there is an error, give me the latest log file at BackWPUp -> Logs
Thank you for the help and I’m really sorry about the delayed response :((

After not hearing for a couple weeks I switched to a different backup plugin.
