    Hi there,

Since the 5.1 update, all my backups are stored on the website server, completely ignoring the other storage options.

I’ve tried adding Dropbox and FTP storage, but the backups still remain on the website server, even when I don’t enable this option.

    Any idea what’s going on?

I reported this issue by email few hours before you released version 5.1, as I was beta testing this new version.

This issue occurs on both fresh installations and upgraded ones (from v5.09 to v5.1).

EDIT : this problem occure when i’m using the “Backup Now” button. The behavior of this button change since the update, he backup only in local. But i can’t “test” or manualy start a “scheduled” backup anymore now.

I finally understand and found a solution.

First: the “Backup now” button now backs up only to local storage. This button no longer triggers the scheduled backups.

So, if you want to manually launch a scheduled backup, go to Advanced Settings > Jobs > Access to Jobs, then click “Run now” on the desired job.

Thanks for the work-around. It’s very poor interface design to have a button that says “Backup Now” and does not bakup to where the user chose to have it sent.

Of course now I have to spend time getting to the backups and I can only run one at time making the process more difficult, more time-consuming and more complicated. Not smart. 🙁

    Hi @neotechnomad,

You all asked for multiple backup jobs — and we made it our top priority to bring them back in version 5.1. 🙌

What you’re mentioning now (running specific jobs to your selected storage) — it’s already planned for version 5.2. Just a little more patience, and that too will be back.

Hope you’re liking the new update so far. We’re committed to making BackWPup even better with every step — thanks for sticking with us.

I also just noticed that my scheduled backup has only only backed-up daily the Files and Plugins and never the Database even though the database is scheduled to backup daily.

Both are scheduled for * a.m. and only the Files and Plugins backed up, not the database. This needs to be looked at.

I would add a screenshot but I cnnot upload images to the Forum.
