Backup solution for WordPress site!!!

Although most servers backup database and the files on a regular basis, is it a good idea to back up our sites using a plugin everyday?

I have researched backup plugins and found “BackUpWordPress” and I am wondering if it is a good option to use for backing up a wordpress site. It backups the site everyday and keeps up to 10 backups and puts them in wp-content folder. The size of the folder might reach to 10MB over time. Can this cause a problem in a long run?

Also, if you know of any better back up plugin, please let us know.
