Hi, I am using updraft for the first time and trying to back up my site. I am trying to backup to my google drive account. The process seemed to be running for a long time but kept showing this message:

‘Waiting until scheduled time to retry because of errors’

After looking on this forum I changed the split setting to 100mb as you have suggested to other users, but the same thing kept happening. Eventually the backup appeared to finish but now shows this message:

‘The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully (Sep 22 10:59:28)’

You can download my full log file here: https://we.tl/t-GhcThzXDSA

Can you tell me if this is in fact backing up correctly, or what the problem is/how to fix it?

    Many thanks,
    Cameron.

    Hi,

The log shows “0772.315 (2) Binary zip: error (code: 15 – look it up in the Diagnostics section of the zip manual at http://infozip.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html#error-codes for interpretation… and also check that your hosting account quota is not full)”

Can you check and make sure there is more than enough space for the backups please?

    Thanks,
    Bryle

    Hi,

That seems to have been the problem, thanks! Is there any way to see how much space the backup will need? And is it possible to backup to a local folder on my hard drive instead of an online storage account?

    Thanks for your help!

    Cameron.

    > It’ll be in the backup info shown when you triple-click the backup date in the ‘Existing Backups’ tab.

And is it possible to backup to a local folder on my hard drive instead of an online storage account?
    > It is not possible unless you have a hard drive that support FTP/SFTP. As an alternative, you can use Dropbox and just sync the backups to your desktop/PC.

    Thanks,
    Bryle
