I am really glad to hear that you found the new UI easier to use. I also appreciate the detailed message and screencast you shared; that was very helpful.
From the screencast, I noticed an error on the logs page which seems to be related to folder creation. This usually happens when the server does not have the required permissions.
Please follow the steps in this guide to fix it: https://backwpup.com/docs/backwpup-error-cannot-create-folder/.
Once done, check if the error on the logs page and the backup issue are resolved. If the problem continues, try creating a backup to the website server instead of FTP and let me know how it goes.

Hey @saranshwpm, thanks so much for your super fast replay.
I checked it out and the setting on FTP was 755, so I changed it to 777. I also looked on folders of other websites where your Plugin works fine. There is also 755 selected.
About the error, yes the follow error still exist: “Kann Verzeichnis „/www/htdocs/w01b7fbc/huehnerhaltung.org/wp-content/uploads/backwpup/9521f2“ nicht erstellen” but this makes me wondering, because it’s an folder on the website and not on my FTP.
Also I tried to creat an Backup directly on the Website, but there is nothing happening as well and there is also the same error Kann Verzeichnis „/www/htdocs/w01b7fbc/huehnerhaltung.org/wp-content/uploads/backwpup/9521f2“ coming.

Thank you for your reply.
Even though any other destination like FTP is selected, backup file is first generated on the server and then pushed to the selected storage.
As the error still persists, something is wrong with the folder creation. Would you be able to check with hosting support regarding plugin not allowed to create folder? Maybe they have some feedback that you can share with us.

@saranshwpm thanks a lot, this detail information helped. The problem was that there was no permission on the folder /www/htdocs/w01b7fbc/huehnerhaltung.org/wp-content/uploads/backwpup/9521f2. Now everything works fine!
