backup not found database

    Hello Guys,

    We have huge backup problems, because a ransomware found us:((((

    We are using the free plugin for years and now we need a database backup. But we have a huge problem. The person who installed the plugin is not working here anymore and we don’t know how we can reach our backup.

    We have the files and have no database.

    Questions:

    • The free plugin is saving the database somewhere external? Can We reach it?
    • Or the plugin is saving somewhere the full backup in the filesystem? Where? ( Since the files we have but no database )
    • If we need to log in to backup guard interface then can you tell me which email is used for the site: laptophardware.hu\blog

    Dear @topstory ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    May we know, if you did the full backup of the website?
    If you did, you can connect the website via FTP and find the appropriate backup file in the wp-content/ uploads/ backup-guard folder.

    In case of the full backup, the file will include both the backup of the files and the database.

    The backups are being saved on your server.

    However, unfortunately, we can’t find an account with the website.

    To find the account, we will need to have the email address, which was used during the registration or else any payment details, since if you have an account, we can assume, that you use the pro version of the plugin.

    Since it is only allowed to discuss the free plugin in this forum, please, contact us via support@backup-guard.com email address for further assistance.
