# Backup Location Folder Change

 * How EXACTLY to change change the directory where “BackUpWordPress” stores backup
   files?
    Instructions say it can be changed then does not say how but instead 
   directs to cloud backups. Looking to change site directory from backups to directory
   of my choice. No cloud.

 * Here’s a post that goes our our constants, which is what will help you do what

 * Look at the `HMBKP_PATH` one, which allows you to choose a different location
   on your server to backup those files to. Just add the referenced line to your`
   wp.config.php` file to allow BackUpWordPress to see where you want the new backup
   location to be.
 * You can check after putting it in to see if the plugin sees it by going to the
   BackUpWordPress admin page and clicking on the “Help” tab in the upper right 
   corner. Click on that and look at the “Constants” section to see if your constant
   is shown in the list there or whether they only list default values. Try clearing
   any caches that might be inhibiting the changes if you notice any problems, then
   check to ensure the path you’re putting in is fully valid.
