• Hi,

I can’t repeat this enough: Thank you for this nice backup plugin!!

This is a question about file locations. In the WPB2D settings I defined a backup directory bcstar-backup (website: http://www.bcstar.nl/0/).

I find that the backup files are located on Dropbox Apps/wpb2d/ at three different locations:

    – Apps/wpb2d/bcstar-backup/wp-content: the contents of my wp-content folder
    – Apps/wpb2d/bcstar-backupwp-content/backups: (no typo!) the logfile
    – Apps/wpb2d/D/www/bcstar.nl/www/0: all website directories and files, except that the contents of the wp-content folder are (almost) empty.

    I have two questions:

    1. Is this ok, or did I do something wrong?

    2. If I open the Dropbox folder on my computer, Windows Explorer shows me the folders “Apps”, containing “wpb2d”, containing “bcstar-backup” and “bcstar-backupwp-content” but not the third folder “D”. I wonder why not?

    Thanks,
    Henk

Do you run WordPress in a different directory?

    Hello Mickey,

Thank you for your quick reaction! You asked me (I don’t see that above – strange!): “Do you run WordPress in a different directory?”

The answer is: no, the WordPress installation and website URLs are the same (http://www.bcstar.nl/0).

    Hope this helps?

    Best regards,
    Henk

I am working on this and over issues that I hope to have fixed in the next version.

    Cheers,

    Hi Mickey,

Thank you for the confirmation. I look forward to your findings! In the meantime I found a little more that may be of interest to you:

    – As I wrote, the backup includes a folder Apps/wpb2d/bcstar-backupwp-content/backups, which contains the latest logfile wpb2d-backup-log.txt. On request, Dropbox shows me the older logfile versions as well.

    – HOWEVER, the folder Apps/wpb2d/bcstar-backup/wp-content also contains a folder backups. Inside that folder, next to the two .sql files and an index.php, there is ALSO a logfile wpb2d-backup-log.txt. That file is incomplete; it ends with the event that the plugins.sql file has been created.

Hope this is of some help to understand what’s happening.

    Best regards,
    Henk
