    Hi,

Updated the plugin to version 3.0.4. The job is created ok now, but when i start it there is only a line in yellow saying "job started". But when i check after there is no archive file created, no log files. It appeares that when i disable the polylang plugin it works correctly.
It was working perfectly with versions before 3.

Yes, that my well be, unfortunately. Before version 3, BackWPup had a different architecture. In order to strengthen security, loop connections are now being established via frontend—which ironically in a few cases gives other plugins a chance to interfere and block the WordPress core function BackWPup is trying to hook into.

I'll double-check with the plugin author, but I'm afraid there might be no quick solution here. :(

    Hi,

    Thank you for your answer.

I am so sorry, that the best two plugins i am using in a lot of sites are not working together. I guess i can disable the plugin before updating, but if i have to choose which of the plugin to stay i would need the polylang.
I have some intermediate understanding of coding and plugins, i'll be glad if i can help with something.

Thank you once again for the work on the plugin, i am using it on a lot of sites, as youcmay have noticed i have sent some other problems too.

    Hi ivomasterche,

Daniel and myself have both tested BackWPup in conjunction with Polylang in a fresh WP install. Neither one of us was able to re-create the erroneous behavior you have been experiencing.
Again, we'd love to solve this issue and keep you on board, but please understand that we're also bound by contract to prioritize supporting Pro users. I'm afraid this is all we can do in a free support forum.

    Thanks,
    Caspar
