  • Hi all,
    I am gr8 trouble, hope anyone of u would resolve the issue I m facing since I have installed wp db plugin.
    I installed the plugin and set email option for setting up my backup data. I m receiving email containing the files but the file I receive is of 0 byte always.
    Let me tell u that in my backup database page(in wordpress dashboard), following line are written:

    Checking Backup Status

    Checking Backup Folder …
    Backup folder exists
    Backup folder is writable

    Checking MYSQL Dump Path …
    MYSQL dump path does NOT exist. Please check your mysqldump path under DB Options. If uncertain, contact your server administrator.

    Checking MYSQL Path …
    MYSQL path does NOT exist. Please check your mysql path under DB Options. If uncertain, contact your server administrator.

    Checking PHP Functions (passthru(), system() and exec()) …
    passthru() disabled.
    system() disabled.
    exec() disabled.

    I’m sorry, your server administrator has disabled passthru(), system() and exec(), thus you cannot use this backup script. You may consider using the default WordPress database backup script instead.

    Now, I have managed to enable passthru(), system() and exec()). Also, I have asked my server administrator the exact “paths to mysqldump” and “path to mysql” . After knowing the paths, I wrote it in “db options, but the problem could not be resolved.
    What should I do now since I have corrected all the errors written on db option pages. I m really in trouble since I am unable to have my backup at all.Hope any expert would be able to guide me.

    I now have the same issue. Looked everywhere and still cannot find a work around. I know you’re supposed to contact your admin but the issue here is that my host suck and contacting them will not resolve the issue.
