# Backup creation overwhelming server

 * Our backups are scheduled to complete around 2am in the morning and save to dropbox.
   The backups are ~2.4GB in size and have been freezing our server which needs 
   restarted following every backup. How can this be avoided?

   to enable “Background” mode in the scheduler profile? And finally, does this 
   happen only with scheduled automatic backups? I mean, manual backups are ok?
