Support » Plugin: Find replace » backslash inserted after find and replace

  • i did a find and replace for all my posts that would

    [singlepic id=66 float=center]

    <p style=”text-align: center;”>[singlepic id=66 float=center]

but find and replace has inserted a \ (backslash) before each of the new ” (double quote marks) giving me this line, which breaks the p style command

    <p style=\”text-align: center;\”>[singlepic id=66 float=center]

i do not seem to be able to do a search that would replace the \ … so what can i do to get rid of them ? is there something important i’m missing about either ” or \ characters ?

thanks in advance for any help.

well … i continued digging around, and i seem to have fixed the problem using

i did a search/replace to remove the \ from the line as shown above on the wp_posts and wp2_posts tables of the database. (though only wp_posts was affected).

someone please tell me if i’ve done a terrible thing ? if not, i hope this information might be useful for others.

would it be possible to include options for removing backslashes (or any other stray characters) in future updates of this excellent plugin ?
