  • Hi,

    I’m having problems getting my background appear in my wordpress website. There’s no images being used, just CSS – White background with drop shadow.

    my code is:

    #container {
    width: 950px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    min-height: 100%;
    background: #fff;
    -moz-box-shadow: -0px 4px 2px 4px #b6b6b6;
    -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 4px 2px 4px #b6b6b6;
    box-shadow: 0px 4px 2px 4px #b6b6b6;
    }

    I’ve put in display:block, but it didn’t help. the background only appears behind the header, but nothing behind the content and footer.

    I was playing around with css properties like float to see if it would appear. When i put float: left, the whole background appears.

    I am stumped at this point….

    It’s really pretty impossible to help with things like this without seeing the site…can you post a link to it?

    But you may need to make the background of the inner element transparent.

    Are you using Firebug to work with the CSS — best way to go, can’t imagine dealing with CSS without it.
