Background photo and Text Editing

  • Hello All.
I have a blog that has a couple of issue that perhaps you can help with.

On all pages the background photo looks they way I want in IE but not in Firefox.
My screen resolution is 1920×1080 so this may just be a resolution issue.

In IE the background splits perfectly to show the tree on the right with no tiling but in Firefox there is a definate tiling.

Is this just because of my screen resolution or is there a way I can stretch the background to look the same on all screens?

Also, on pages, I am editing text but all I get is plain text.
For example, on this page: http://africangrey.ca/?page_id=6 the titles should be in bold.
Example: “What size cage do I need?” I have set as bold text but it doesn’t show as bold.

    Any thoughts on this one?

how the background image shows, is pure chance and depends on the width of the monitor window.
if you would define’ background-position: center top; ‘ your tree would always be hidden behind the page, as the image is too small.
there is no way with css to stretch an background image.

and, your cage shows in bold in firefox and IE7.
