Which theme are you using?
Hi,
Theme I’m using is Elbee Elgee
Can you post a link to your site and more details about how you want to page to look (i.e. how wide are the images that you want to show on the sides)?
I don’t have a live site as of yet, I’m just planning the process. The images would be about 194 pixel wide. At this stage it really just the method I’m interested in.

A background image instead of the grey http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/elbee-elgee behind the website?
Okay, the basics would be to put the image(s) in the background of the body tags using CSS:

And to create enough of a margin around the page — so that the images show.
It gets trickier if you have a flexible width (responsive) theme — looks like yours can be either fixed or flexible? What are you thinking on that?
One way to get around that is to put another wrapper around the whole site — put the background images in there and create a fixed width margin between the wrapper and the site page/wrapper. It’s kind of hard to explain in words…hope this makes some sense.
Yes a different image on either side. examples here:

Ok I will give that a go and get back to you.
Thanks for the help
