• My sidebar is stopping short when the post content is longer than the sidebar content. To fix this I am trying to add a <div id=”wrap”> around the content and sidebar and then applying a background image to float right and repeat-y so that it appears that the sidebar extends all the way down. For some reason this background (even a background color) won’t show up. I’m not sure what is interfering with this. Any ideas?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

  • Right now, you don’t have a container enclosing just the content and the sidebar on a single post page. What you’re proposing should work in theory but perhaps you’re hitting a specificity/cascade issue in the CSS?
