Background images stopped working

    I can no longer add or change the background image to an individual slide when selecting from the Media Library. It only works when I upload an image.
    This code is missing when I select an image from the Media library.

    Nope.
    Just tested this (latest WP version 5.4.2), and this functionality works just fine. See:

    (I am able to insert images just fine).

    So something local to your installation – check whether you are getting any JavaScript errors within your Dashboard (view the JS console by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+J keys together).
