 * I want to upload an image to use as a background but I would like to know recommended
   image size, file size and will it slow down loading time?

 * Images 200 kb or less shouldn’t slow down loading time.

 * Are you sure for a background? I tried a couple of images and had to go quite
   large for a background. The one that I am playing with now is 2048×1536 and is
   1.37 Mb, I am using a jpeg. Should I be using another file type?
 * I notice that height wise where the bottom of the image is it stops and the background
   color takes over so I guess I use a gradient at the bottom for the transition
   but do you know what an adeal width is?
