Background image, repeat or no repeat … that is the question

  • So I have this background image I made that marries the header graphic with the background for a nice look of uniformity … only thing is, I only want the top portion behind the header to have the graphic, and for the rest of the background of the page to fade out into the gray the gradient on the background graphic ends up as.

    Can someone teach me how to make the background graphic only show at the top?

    You guys are awesome.

  • In style.css find this…

    background: #DEDEDE url(images/finalbackground.jpg) repeat;

    I’m guessing that you put that in there. Just change repeat to repeat-x. That should only allow the image to repeat horizontally. If you didn’t want it to repeat at all, just change it to no-repeat.

    Thank you very much, Kri.
