My first time at the forum, so show me how great this place is. I run one wordpress blog for work, where we have outside developers to maintain it. I built my second client a wordpress blog. It has been running for months, but have a few issues I never fixed so starting with this one.

Problem is my background image is not extended to bottom on longer pages.

    Home page: http://www.corpuschristiinsuranceguru.com/
On this page and all the shorter pages, my background image extends to the bottom and I have white background flush with the bottom blue footer.

    Longer page: http://www.corpuschristiinsuranceguru.com/2012/07/07/10-reasons-to-get-full-auto-insurance-coverage/
On this page and all the longer pages, the blue footer extends higher up the page.

I changed the background image to be super long, and then add that as the image, and it had no effect.

  • Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

1 month later and I still have not solved this issue. Please help. Thanks.

That has to do with the background set in the body tag — when the image runs out (on longer pages) — it cannot be set to repeat the image because the image has the blue bar at the top — so it uses the color set for the background (in the custom background CSS). That color is set to the blue – whereas what you want is the grey. So try changing the background-color for the body to #ebebeb. That fixes the problem — at least on that page. I have not checked other pages.

But as are using a commercial theme, you’ll need to seek any further help from the vendor — as commercial themes are not supported here.

Wow, that was an easy fix. Can’t believe I missed that, after as much customization I did on this Genesis theme.

Good to know to that I can go to Genesis with other issues. Thanks WPyogi!
