  • I am trying to add a background-image in css

    #footer {
        background-image: url("images/footer.png");
        background-repeat: repeat;
        clear: both;
        width: 100%;
    }

    The footer image is not showing up. How do we specify background images in css? I’m very new to making templates for WordPress.

  • #footer {
        background: url('images/footer.png');
        background-repeat: repeat;
        clear: both;
        width: 100%;
    }

    without seeing the problem live in your site, theres is not much anybody can help you with.

    you style looks correct, however, is there an element with the css id #footer in your site, and is the footer.png image located in the images folder of your theme?

    also, did you clear the browser cache – by pressing ‘CTRL F5’ ?

    link to your site?
