Support » Plugin: TablePress » Background image full height of table?

  • Resolved chanticleer

    I want to merge all the rows in the first column and put a background image with text overtop. (So the image is the full height of the table). Can that be done with Tablepress? It seems the first row can’t be merged, or am I doing something wrong?

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    The first row can only be merged if the “Table Head” row is left unchecked.
    Setting a background image is then possible using CSS code, like

    .tablepress-id-123 .column-1 {
      background: url(...);

    Note that the height will depend on the content in the cells of the other rows, so this will most likely cause some manual work.
