    hi,

    as you can see from my site
    http://www.calligraphycompany.com

    i have two white strips running up the side, i wish this to be blue. using firefox it tells me to edit line 54, but there is not an exact match, elsewhere i have changed all the whites to royal blue but nothing.

    does anyone know any better?

    thanks if you can help

    That white is your theme’s background color.

    thanks esmi.

    Do you know how to change it?

    <style type="text/css">
    body { background-color: #ffffff; }
    </style>

    its appearing in the head section of your source

    Do you have a theme option to change BG color?

    Like appearance->background, or appearance->theme options from admin area

    hi thanks for the reply.

    i cannot find this code on my stylesheet- is says that code is on line 54 but when i go to check the area i see nothing?

    yes you are correct. thanks a lot.

    if it weren’t for people like you my site would be a mess lol

    one more thing guys, small thing

    ive been using royalblue on wordpress as my theme colour,

    the background app will not let me put physical colours only codes- how do i find the code of royal blue? ive tried to google; but everyone has made there own variation of it and is not an exact match?

    Try using #4169e1

    thanks

    @oliviaok in the future, a site like kuler.adobe.com is very helpful in picking colours, then getting the proper hex or rgba codes for it

    I love using that site
