Background color behind centered content

  • Sophiamolino

    @sophiamolino

    I need to have a white background behind the centered content of my website, but I want the two sides to be transparant (so I can put a background advertising behind).

    The problem is that some containers on my site already have the white background, but not all parts. I tried to get the entire content white and putted a div wrapper around the header, body and footer. But I can’t seem to fix it. Probably did it wrong.

    Can anybody help?

    http://blogandthecity.net is my website. I changed the background in a very light grey, so you can see all the containers that are already white..
