# Background border create

 * Hello,
    I was trying to set up a background border around my website (www.beechin.
   com) so that I can change the background color of my site (and have a different
   color for the actual middle part (I know I’m not technically inclined and i’m
   sure the “middle part” isnt the right terminology!). I tried searching but honestly
   I wasnt sure what I’d be searching for. I’m trying to turn whats there right 
   now into something like [http://www.beechin.com/98/](http://www.beechin.com/98/).
   Anybody have any ideas?
 * Also on a side note, does anyone know if there’s some way to make everything 
   on my site smaller (similar to what happens when you CTRL + Mouse Scroll) without
   having to change every single piece of code? I’d have no idea where to begin…

 * every thing you requested (i believe) is or can be controlled by your .css file.
 * You can go to w3c and take a quick course on how that works. It is of extreme
   importance that you have a feel for this if you intend on managing your own layout.
 * There is a learning curve, but you will come out the other side a whole lot better
   and self sufficient. 🙂

 * thanks drewactual for the help. i really appreciate it.
 * I took a look at w3c and I tried to find anything to help me out. Can someone
   point me in the right direction? I feel a little overwhelmed and I don’t know
   wehre to start. (i.e., tables, containers, image as background, columns) so much
   stuff!
 * any help would be greatly appreciated!

 * css… do the tutorial on css… you will be amazed what you will learn, the most
   important being that this stuff isn’t as hard as it seems.
