Hey, I’ve looked for this answer for a while now.

On the backend, where you are creating a new podcacst episode, there’s the various fields (author, metadata, text, etc) to allow you to add the various items to categorize your episode before it’s put up.

Most of this is great, but while I use many of the fields, I don’t use them all. I can remove the boxes, but I can’t seem to be able to rearrange them.

I want the right sidebar to have the publication data (when it’s put up) then the Author (there’s two of us), then the series, then featured image and then the tags box.

I rearrange them, post the new episode, then I go back in to post another, and none of the rearranging has kept. It’s like the edit to the backend post page won’t save.

    Help?

Rearranging of the meta boxes in the dashboard is a WordPress core function and it should actually retain your preferences after you save an episode. if it is not doing so then it means that you most likely have a conflict between WordPress itself and your theme or one of your plugins. You will need to resolve this on your side.
