# Backend Error

 * I am having trouble with slow loading speed. I receive a backend error from google
   page insights, and my host says it takes 7-10 seconds to load. does backend error
   just mean that it is timing out?
 * I tried W3 Cache and it is buggy.
 * Host recommended I reduce size of homepage. I am using Twenty Eleven with lots
   of sticky posts.
 * How do I reduce size of homepage? Will do many sticky posts make the site load
   slow?
 * Also, my foter plugin sometimes will not let me adjust size of pictures. Anyone
   else have trouble with foter?
 * Thanks for your help?

 * Slowness could be due to (but not limited to):
    – a poor or memory intensive 
   theme – poor or memory intensive plugins – your server is slow (e.g., “process
   hang”, overload, you get a lot of visitors, other problems, etc.). Test your

 * I’ve had cases of slow load time that had to do with an excessive amount of database
   queries (in one case, it was a poorly written theme). When that happens, I’ve
   sometimes had better with [DB Cache Reloaded Fix](http://wordpress.org/plugins/db-cache-reloaded-fix/)
   than with the standard caching plugins.
